Dimensional data is difficult to interpret. There are obvious mistakes, such
as typos in team guides, and incorrect measurements. Then there are other
mistakes that are not so obvious, such as when team guides do not keep
up-to-date when changes occur, and when some teams listed power alley
measurements
for foul lines, and vice versa. All a researcher can do in such cases is to use
one’s best judgment.
I use 22.5 degrees for power alleys.
