Phil Lowry makes an interesting point that perhaps other agencies are worth noting.
Along those lines, Municipal Stadium in Davenport, Iowa (now called John O'Donnell Stadium) was not built by the WPA, but was built in 1930-31 by a local agency with the express purpose of stimulating the local construction industry in the early days of the Depression.
I think that makes it a park built in the spirt of the WPA, even if the federal government was not involved.

Kevin,I believe that the number of WPA-era ballparks will astound most people. It is much greater than I had ever anticipated. The best example is probably Buffalo War Memorial Stadium. And although the era mentioned is 1934-41, the WPA's bureaucratic predecessors even had something to do with parks built even earlier than 1934, such as the LA Coliseum and Cleveland Municipal Stadium.Phil Lowry
