Mark Grudzielanek of KC has now gone 93 consecutive games at 2B since
last making an error, dating back to last season.

Here are the records on the horizon for him if he keeps up the
errorless ball at second base:

Most consec. errorless games, season
A.L.-86-Rich Dauer, BAL, 1978 (11 games away from tying)

Most consecutive errorless games, career
N.L.-123-Ryne Sandberg, CHI, 1989-1990 (Grudzielanek would have to
beat this mark to get in the record books since he's played for both
an AL and an NL team during his streak) (30 games away from tying)

Most consecutive errorless chances accepted, season
A.L.-425-Dauer, 1978 (Grudzielanek currently has 372, so 53 away from
tying).

Most consecutive errorless chances accepted, career
N.L.-584-Ryne Sandberg, 1989-1990 (Grudzielanek currently had 442, so
142 away from tying).

All stats in this post are through July 6.
