For many seasons, the dailies are in Cooperstown. You can visit them there or probably pay to get copies if you wanted just abfew pages. The HOF has microfilmed their collection. I fthink SABR or some part of it bought a copy of all the reels. Retrosheet did buy a copy.

I found that it was very common for newspapers not to credit
sacrifices, both in their play-by-play accounts and box scores, when
there were errors and the batter wasn't retired.
