Trent - Thanks for the detailed analysis. It was my great pleasure to follow the Ellis Burks and Larry Walker streaks with the Rockies (and Galarraga also had one in '93 which tied the NL record for consecutive basehits at 11, if I recall). These streaks are every bit as impressive to me as Dimaggio's 56, because they epitomize "White Hot". It might be interesting to look a little closer at each of these streaks wrt OBP, SLG and OPS, ie which guys were being pitched around, which of them were punishing the ball with extra-base hits.. (Walker also had a torrid extra-base hit streak in '97).. For context, it might make for a fun comparison to look at Dimaggio's best stretch of x ABs during his streak, or to frame things in a contemporary context, Bonds' hottest stretch in x ABs..
