I've been researching the 1931 Sporting News boxes (thanks to "Paper of
Record") and I'm having difficulty distinguishing between Hub Walker
and Gee Walker.

Both were Tiger OF in 1931, but the boxes don't distinguish, and both
players debuted (so far as I can tell from Baseball-Reference.com) in
mid-April. Retrosheet.com transactions for '31 don't mention either
Walker.

In other same-name cases, SN usually added an appropriate first
initial, but not with the '31 Walkers, and that makes me think that
only one of the Walkers was on the Tiger roster at a time during '31.

Does anyone perchance know anything about this?
