A few years back (sorry for not remembering the year),
when Montreal played some games in Puerto Rico, one of
the PR games against the Giants was rained out and of
course the Giants weren't scheduled to go back to
Montreal OR PR so they had an "old-fashioned" double
header during the week. As I recall, what Brian
Sabean calls the fringe element (I'm one of those) and
the seagulls were the only ones to stay for the second
game.

P.S. If anyone is interested in my 4-8 team league
idea (that would allow teams to visit each other more
than once but would eliminate certain matchups), drop
me a line privately. I think I still have the file
8-)
