I went through some ICI sheets for the players who stole the most
bases, and these were the only ones I came across:

6-Hugh Nicol, CIN AA, 8/27/1887
6-Hugh Nicol, CIN AA, 9/10/1887
6-Billy Hamilton, PHI NL, 9/19/1891(G2)

I'm sure there are some more out there, but I don't think it was too
common even in the 1880s.
