That means there is a formula programmed in by human beings, which is almost as subjective as a human poll. The key I think to rankings should usually be in...

Let me try this again. If a team has beaten a team that is ranked above them, it looks strange. If that team has beaten a team twice in the last year, it...

Heh, perhaps you're against computerized rankings because they work better when leagues DON'T stick to their region? *~[;-{p> But seriously, there's a page out...

Hi Phil, Based on stuff I overhear, I don't think that teams genuinely bent on winning the big one at the end of the year deliberately play teams in their...

In fact, a very desirable home and home exchange would be to play somebody that you think is fairly evenly matched. But what if you are a team and you can't...

Phil, You raised a very good point that I had not considered. My view is narrow and focused around one team. What you are saying encompasses more leagues with...

Which means tournaments with multiple play opportunities may be the way to go for teams trying to move up in the rankings. And if you are on the road, all you...

Agree, although in our league's case there's another regrettable and more practical decision criteria, which is 4) we just got an open home date verified at...

And that's another interesting point. Maybe you can work out a quick home and home arrangement with a league that can travel, and one that has some...
