    The Riverside noon game will at Martin middle school through December (or whenever the Trail of Lights evacuates Zilker). This should be our last move for a month.
    As has always been the case when we vote on something near Mopac or I-35, the vote was close (7-5 including a couple of oral votes). Martin won. (Auditorium Shores apparently is equally inconvenient for everyone.)

    Exciting election coverage: In a large (for Riverside) voting turn-out, the Martin vs. Zilker-rugby field race is close. In fairness, I'm going to "close the polls" 24 hours after I sent the "vote now" email (i.e., approx. 5 pm today, Wednesday).
    Since it takes some people a day to get around to reading email, let's keep the game at Auditorium Shores for Thur. Other ideas? If so, email quick.
    So the move to the new place will happen next Tue.
    (No one has voted for Auditorium Shores or the Robert E. Lee fields, probably partially because of the way I inadvertently worded the email -- which means I should be able to get a job with political pollsters.)

Why did we leave Martin?
PARD guy said one of the "don't play" signs was coming soon, though the exact content was unclear. Also, they were going to try to get grass to grow. None of this occurred.
But Zilker is nicer. And it was time we reclaimed our right to play in a public park, which turned out not to be an issue but that's another story.

Great game yesterday, Riverside. Lots of new faces as well as people we hadn’t seen in a while.

 

If you’re in town and up for a little Ultimate before overstuffing yourself on stuffing, come down to Auditorium Shores tomorrow (Thursday) at noon. I will be there with a disc and some cones, and we may get to try out John’s one-on-one game after all.
