I for one would like to start this message board up again. I am sick
and tired of that other one. You post anything the people don't like
and they flame you! I'm sick and tired of it. I like hearing all the
gossip and being "in the know" but tired of everytime I post an
opinion differing from others, being flamed! It even says on the
descriptions to post "rumors" but when you do....watch out!
Anyway, the others in the group, hope you are willing to begin this
discussion group again! I plan on inviting some others to sign up who
are also being harassed on that same group I mentioned. The
moderator, or creator of this group, is a personal friend of mine who
is undergoing some hardship, so not sure if she still has the same
connection on here. Don't think she has internet access at this time,
but can let her know if you know of anyone who wants to join the
group! I think they just apply thru yahoo groups.
Anyway, here's to hockey!

And speaking of rumors...has anyone else heard the prediction the team
will fold in February?

Donny is and will be Donny, some brain cells work different than others, maybe he has been around that nuclear building in Springfield, since his alias is Homer Simpson.  I hope for his sake he made the right move(s), but playoffs, remind me again how far away is that silver lining cloud....way off in the horizon....finish this riduculous, ludriocous of a season, and move onto next season, starting with giving owner favorite, Donny the boot of the team, then work their way down the play roster, whichever one, they choose to use, with all the comings and goings I would hate to be the one in charge of keeping player rosters up to date.

When is it going to be over....I went to an Admirals game, and that was the BEST hockey I have seen since last April here in Richmond, sad to say, but TRUE.

The Admirals do play at home this coming weekend the 19th for those having withdraws.

Interesting we should make such a "blockbuster" deal, as the release put it,
so close to the end of the season??? I mean, come on....have you noticed they
don't even advertise the possibility of playoff tickets???
A little too late, Donny.....anyway we, as fans, can vote him off our
island????

The booster club is great and I would highly recommend joining. I just joined a couple months ago and everyone was very welcoming, I had always wanted to join to get more involved in the team and to meet new people and friends. It's just a lot of fun and the meetings are not that long which is all the better. Thanks for the nice compliments by the way about me being young. Members act awesome. All are very nice and things are handled exceptionally well. We have one meeting each month and usually two players are there and you can ask them questions during the meeting which is fun. Again I would highly recommend joining.

Tracy Butler <tracysportsgirl80@...> wrote:

Carson---tell us more about the Booster Club, why did you join?
What attracts you to it, why do you like?  I am not in it, and would
like a FRESH YOUNG persons opinion on the Booster Club, from how
members act, especially to new comers, to how things are handled.

Jamie Thompson, Sessa, Gillies, Stirling from Danbury, just to name
a few.

I am not a Luch fan---sorry about it for those who are...but I think
he is a wuss and gets stupid penalities at the wrong times, and is
useless...about as much as Martin is.

Goudie I like....Trevor needs to hang up the jersey he is pucked
out.  How can we judge how he plays now, when for the majority of
the season he has been OUT.... go figure....

Most of the other guys I like, and would like to see them stay...but
unfortunately folks, in Martins case, he is good friends with the
higher ups, so to see him go would be surprising.  But I have
fingers and toes and all other body parts that I can possibly cross,
crossed.

Take care guys...

For reference there is a AHL game in Norfolk this Fri. and Sat. for
those who are going thru withdraws....

I'll be there Sat. with bells on to see some good hockey!

Tracy!!

I'll make my choices,
Coach wise almost anyone is better than Coach Martin.
Player wise I would love to see all the guys back and see what they can do on a different system, this team has the talent to do what last years team did, they just don't seem to have it this year though, maybe bring in some new defensemen, keep Goudie, he works hard every night. KEEP TREVOR!!!!! love him or hate him you have to admit he plays his heart out every night he is on the ice and not in the penalty box. This team needs to play more clean physical hockey, more clean checks and more fighting, and the crowd needs to get more into the game. I sit 3L and scream my head off every game, most nights I am very close to losing my voice by the end of the game. Dogs just need to come to play 3 periods of hockey, not wait till 10 minutes to go in the 3rd and then start playin when you're down 3 or more goals. That's all for now, I'm headed to the booster club meeting. Have a great night.

This guy will too, however, upon speaking to some people they have been charged for pics taken by B. Houston.
The opposing team backup goalie, for Frostbite asked Cliff to take pics, gave address to send them and everything.  The pic of Razz for the poster was also taken by Cliff, and many more to come from the buzz around the arena and elsewhere.

AMEN I'm only 16 and have been goin to game for a long time, but my dad made me behave back thenwhen i went. It's rediculous, they take forever to sit down and are constantly up and down the entire night so "real" fans cant see the game. You didnt miss much tonight anyway. Dogs got totally outplayed and outshot against and lost 5-3.
Just like USA BEAT CANADA 5-3.

I talked to several fans at Fri. nights game and we all agreed...congrats on the 'Dogs mgmt. for getting almost 5,000 fans there.....but man, I am TIRED of having to be these kids babysitters....WHERE are their parents???  Not that the parents were much better!
Let me tell you....it ticks me off......if lil' ol' me can control 21 kids on a day-to-day basis, and a four and seven year old at home......<<<shakes head>>>>....I guess it's just called discipline!

However, it really soured the game for me and honestly, I'm not going Sat. night b/c it's the same crowd!  A shame, really.  Maybe they, as one friend put it, should put all these "visitors" and one-time fans in the upper section or in certain sections of the Coliseum!!!!

grrr.........thanks for letting me vent!

Hi everyone, hope the weather finds everyone safe, dry, and warm.

Tomorrow night at 7:35 we play host to top ranked Frostbite.
Hope everyone can make it out.
Also, press conference is slated for Sat. at noon at the Coliseum
with owner and UHL commisioner and as far as I am aware public is
welcomed. I was told it is positive news, so that is a plus.

Tomorrow night is also poster night. Give credit to Cliff Williams
for the photo, credit to my knowledge is not given on the poster
itself, but he is the one who took the photo at a private shooting a
weekend or so ago.

I am sure he will be there to take so more great pics tomorrow
night. Check out his site, let him know what you think, and spread
the word about his pics site: www.fotki.com/cliff77

I hear he is trying to get into taking wedding shots too, so if you
know of someone getting married, or other things people want pics
of, just let him know.

Take care, enjoy your Friday, and see you at the drop of the puck.

Tracy B.

Spread the word about the group, so we can get more people to join.

My kids are making posters from school and I hope the other classes are, too!  Also, J.J. Wrobel's birthday is this Saturday!  My class is going to give him presents and maybe a balloon.  Possibly a happy birthday sign if we can get it done in time. Can you tell he's our class's adopted player???? :)
Anyway, so make sure you give J.J. a happy 29 (really...he doesn't turn 30 till next year!) on Saturday!
Go 'Dogs!

Well RiverDog Dog Pounders the awful road trip is OVER!
Thank goodness! The guys are really going to need some spirit
lifting when they return to the Coliseum this coming Fri. night. I
had problems getting the game on our site, had to go to the Fury
site to listen.

Let's show support this weekend, any way possible. If you have time
make some positive signs, if you don't sit somewhere where you can
hang them, bring them to us in 28L, we will hang them up, not a
problem.

Beware..the circus was in town, so bring air fresherners, I am sure
it will smell like elephant crap, as it always seems to do so after
the circus....Decorate the coliseum with "Lil Trees".

Have a great week Dog Pounders!

Hey Everyone!
Thank you for starting a new group :) I agree the other two can get
quite clickish and that some think they are the "end all know all." I
also sit in 28L and have been a supporter of the 'Dogs since they
started as of...oh, last year! :) It'll also be nice to write on here
without the office staff coming and bashing me for opinions I express
like they did one other time with the "other group."
Viva first amendment and understanding people!
Go 'Dogs!

Hi RiverDogs Fans, welcome to a new group. The purpose of this
group is to talk hockey, share RiverDog experiences and opinions
openly without the fear of others bashing you or being banned from
the group. We all have our opinions and should share them freely
within good taste. All I ask is to refrain from curse words, since
young people may join the group.

RiverDogs play Flint tonight in Flint, so log on to
riverdogshockey.com to listen to the game or turn on your radio.

Good luck to the Dogs tonight.

Feel free to tell your friends about this group. The more people we
have the more fun we will have.

Welcome Carson,
Glad you joined the group. We sit in 28L. I agree our season is
ok, but nothing like last season, but circumstances play a role in
that as well. I do agree the season looks as if it may have a
silver lining.

Again Welcome Carson!
Tracy
