This group is dedicated to the wrestler, Rick Hunter.
Rick Hunter was born Charles Sprott in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 1 1936.
In his late teens, he started wrestling at the Winnipeg YMCA and later at Ole Olsen's Norland Wrestling Club. Around this time he joined the Winnipeg Fire Department.
During the 1960s, he quit his job as a fireman to wrestle full-time. He worked mainly for promoters Don Owen (who changed his name to Rick Hunter) and Roy Shire. He also wrestled as The Gladiator and Super Gladiator.
During his wrestling career, he wrestled all over the world including Australia, New Zealand, Japan and England. From the late 1980s he worked as a jobber in the WWF - both as Rick Hunter and as The Gladiator - before retiring in the early 1990s.
Now a widower, he lives in Clearwater, Florida.
