The Reds need someone (who can wheel and deal) in the GM's chair. I guess we'll see if that person is O'Brien at the winter meetings. They also need a Mgr with the stones to whip this outfit into shape. All the errors and Dunn & Kearns talking to the media about what "they" wanted are signs of a lack of discipline. Not that it makes a significant difference, but I think I liked the Reds better when they weren't allowed to have beards, mustaches, and long hair. It seemed more structured or disciplined then. I wonder if Joe Morgan would be willing to give up his broadcasting seat to manage the Reds.

At any point next season feel free to reflect on this season. Same Smell
different Year. There will still be the same pugent smell drifting lazy
like across the plains here to me in SD. Nothing is going to change from
this year to the next unless some veteran pitchers capapble of getting 15-20
wins and less than 4.00 ERA are brought in. I believe we have the offensive
power/hitting to at least compete but without good pitching Same Smell,
different year but don't hold you breath.
