RE: [ROChiNa] ROCn Goes In Limbo

Joe,

I want to thank you so much for setting up ROChiNa. I for one really appreciated the 200km brevet to Suzhou and back: it finally got me to the 200km/day mark and more importantly reawakened my appreciation of cycling.

I’m only sorry I can’t help with running the group. Last month I moved back to the UK after ten years in Shanghai, but before I left I did manage a circuitous Nanjing-Shanghai ride which took me to 350km in a day. The route was flat as a pancake and I had a tailwind, so I don’t think I’ll be repeating that here in the UK.

However, I have my road bike with me and will be looking at some randonneuring in la Belle France before too long. I will wear my RoC shirt of course.

Take care of yourself and continue to ride long and prosper: may the road rise up before you and the wind always be at your back.

Keep in touch,

Chris

Ride Long and Prosper has long been my motto. With ROCn, I also hoped
that was "often", but this year that won't be the case.

Due to some required medical work, I'll be returning to the states and
thus, ROCn goes into limbo until I can find someone to continue
nurturing the idea of growing randonneuring in China. I still hope to
see a Chinese nationalist compete in Paris-Brest-Paris in 2011. After
all, I have these really neat Randonneur of China jerseys, eh?

For those of you who relish the challenge of long distance rides, the
cue sheets are in the ummm "files?" section.

And don't forget..this group is for all of you, so if you want to
organize a long ride, get information, etc., feel free to generate a
post.

And still...Ride Long and Prosper. It's a good thing.

Zia Jian!!! And hopefully: h¨°u hu¨¬ y¨¯u q¨©
