Hello RMCCC,
Congratulations on a great first weekend of racing. The races were great (kudos to CSU and CC) and the riding fantastic. It was great to see you all after the winter break.
A couple of updates:
1. Results are posted on www.rmccc.org. Currently only the USAC raw results are posted, conference results and points will be up soon. Updates and other information is also on the website.
2. Western State is canceling their race on the weekend of March 28, 29. This is unfortunate, but unavoidable at this point. For those of you not wanting a weekend off, the Koppenberg roubaix style race is being held in Boulder on the 29th (http://www.boulderracing.com/koppenberg.asp ) - No collegiate points will be awarded for this race and it is ACA.
3. Rule books. There are some significant changes to the 2009 collegiate rule book. If you're looking for some stimulating reading material whilst driving umpteen hours to the next race, download it here http://www.usacycling.org/forms/collegiate/collegiate_rulebook.pdf . You could even make up little games to test each other on your knowledge of all that is wonderful about collegiate cycling...
4. Rosters. Buried amongst all those lovely rules is the one about full time student status. Ok, stop paging through, it is actually located on pg 62 rule 7G1. This rule applies to all conference and national races. To help Spencer and I keep monitor the full time status of all the riders in the conference, we are asking that each team submit a roster with Rider Name, License # (or one day), Category, and Verification of full time status (just a "Yes Full Time" will do). We will need the first roster by March 30th of all the riders who have raced with your team up to that point.
Drive safe this weekend, see you on Saturday
