Hello RMCCC
Current team and individual points are NOW posted (sorry the individual ones were missing ) Please check and verify results.
In this email are four items relating to nationals 1 - Allocations, 2- Qualifications, 3- Rules and Paperwork, 4.Travel. Be sure to read it all!
Nationals Allocations are in.
In Division 1, we have been allocated 13 XC Slots and 10 slots. These are being allocated as follows:
The team allocations are:
CU - 4 XC and 3 ST
FLC 4 XC and 3 ST
CSU 4 XC and 3 ST
The individual allocation is :
Eli from WYO 1 XC and 1 ST
For Gravity CU, FLC, and CSU are being qualified as teams, so they may take gravity riders to round out their 8 men and 8 women per team allocations. Individual gravity riders with conference rankings in the top half of the A riders may also go- these riders must contact me and fill out a qualifying sheet (attached)
In Division 2 we have been allocated 21 XC and 16 ST slots. These are being allocated as follows
Mines 6 XC 6 ST
Mesa 4 XC 4 ST ( allocation would be 6 but we only have 4 so 2 slots are opened back up)
The remaining 11 XC slots and 6 ST slots will be awarded to individuals based on their conference points standing. Unless there are points that are very close, this determination will take place after the FLC Endurance Races.
For Gravity Mines and Mesa are being qualified as teams, so they may take gravity riders to round out their 8 men and 8 women per team allocations. ndividual gravity riders with conference rankings in the top half of the A riders may also go- these riders must contact me and fill out a qualifying sheet (attached).
Every team and individual going to nationals must fill out the attached qualification sheet and get it back to me ASAP - at the very least, FLC, CU and CSU need to respond to this email as to whether they will be using all of their allocated slots - if not these slots will be awarded to the other teams.
2. QUALIFYING
To race at nationals you must either race 3 races as A in your discipline (Endurance, Gravity), or race one conference race in your discipline and conference finals in your discipline / race category if it is available.
For Gravity, you can use one of the two FLC gravity races to serve as your conference race - you do not have to race both of them. However, to use the DS as a qualifying race you must race in both the qualifying and final round if this is possible - ie don't plan on racing the XC. For Endurance, you must race the XC at Mesa if you want to race the XC at nationals (or have 3 Endurance A races already) - same for the ST.
3. FORMS
All riders must fill out the attached qualifying form and return it to me ASAP. Also, don't forget to get your school to sign your student eligibility form.
4. TRAVEL TO NATIONALS
Several of us have been discussing trying to share trailers for transporting bikes to national - Mesa for one should have a fair amount of room in our trailer and would be willing to share with another team. Let's all try to talk about this at FLC and see if we can save everyone some money.
