Everyone:
I have received a few inquiries regarding cross nats. Info for the race can be found at this site:
http://www.crosscrusade.com/Natz/index.htm
There will be no qualifying for our conference, so as far as I'm concerned your team may enter riders as you wish to. If you have any questions, I will attempt to resolve them ASAP.
In other news- during the off-season, I will be putting together a rulebook for the conference. As some of you are aware, we have three sets of rules floating around and these are creating some confusion. Given recent rule changes in the past few years, what I propose to do is create one set of conference rules from the preceding ones, and then submit them to everyone about a month before our annual meeting (I'll likely get time to put this together over the Christmas break). At our annual meeting, we will vote to accept the rules and make any changes the conference deems necessary. The first draft sent before the meeting will be meant as a discussion document only, with the final document created through conference decisions at our annual meeting. Proposals will be entertained over the e-group too, and hopefully some discussion can be created before the meeting so that we can define the rules in a timely manner. AS the meeting gets closer we will create an agenda ad it will made available online.
On the annual meeting- the meeting will be held in early February, and it will be in the usual place (Longmont) provided it is available. I will be in touch early in the new year with confirmation of time and place. It is imperative that every team do their best to attend as at this meeting we will determine the spring and fall race schedules in addition to the discussion about our new rulebook.
Finally- one last thing- conference awards are coming- There was a problem with the production of the plaques and not all are done yet, but I am told they will be ready soon.
I hope everyone is enjoying a little fun time on their bikes before training begins again. Take care and have a great fall. As usual, if anyone needs to contact me, my office number is 307-766-3843 and my cell (when it's on) is 202-329-0291. You can also try me at home at 307-742-9210. My office fax is 307-766-5090. I don't mind giving references too for anyone who is considering an upgrade for next season. Thanks for a really fun season and I'm looking forward to spring.
