Hello RMCC,
It was great to see everyone at CSU this weekend.
Regarding our impromptu Conference meeting, here are
the meeting notes. If you did not attend the meeting,
please forward this to your club's leadership and let
us know if you have any questions.
Agenda -
Number Plates
Points Scoring
Next RMCC meeting
Spring Race Date Selection
Your Club Members NCCA status
* Number Plates - the laminated numbers are issued for
the whole season to each racer. Replacement cost is $5
if lost.
As usual we ask that the next club putting on a race
make arrangements with the current club race promoter
to pick up the box of numbers. For example - After WY,
Mesa should take the number box from WY after
registration closes for Sunday's race.
* Points - the RMCC will be using the suggested
conference points as outlined in the NCCA rule book
-http://www.usacycling.org/forms/rules/05_ncca_rulebook.pdf
I am inquiring with the NCCA Board on point schedules
for Downhill and Short Track as they are not in the
rule book yet. Tom Vinson and/or Kevin Suhr will be
tabulating points for the conference during the MTB
season.
Also, the NCCA is starting its ranking system this
fall and all conferences will be on the same points
schedules. This will allow everyone in all conferences
to see how individuals and teams are ranked within
their respective conference. This will not be used to
rank teams against teams from a different conference.
The intent is to have this updated weekly on the NCCA
site.
* Next RMCC meeting - The next conference meeting for
the RMCC will be at the FLC MTB race, Conference MTB
finals in Durango. It is strongly encouraged a
representative from each school be in attendance.
* Spring Road Race Date Selections - Spring race dates
will be decided at the next RMCC meeting (FLC race).
It is suggested that we start emailing the RMCC list
with tentative dates to receive everyone's input with
the hopes of having a tentative schedule in place
before the FLC meeting. Please note - because of
confusion over race dates this fall, all dates will be
decided at the RMCC meeting in Durango. Those in
attendance will have priority of race date selections.
Any conflicts will be decided by a vote taken from the
clubs in attendance at the meeting. Every club there
will have one vote. Attend the meeting !
* NCCA licenses - Regarding NCCA licensed members, its
in all of our best interests to have as many RMCC
riders listed as NCCA members as possible. The more
members, the more riders from our conference go to
Nationals and the more resources Gerard gives the
NCCA. if a rider has a USCFor Norba license, they can
attach the NCCA license for FREE !
How can you help ? I will send another email with
directions on checking your members' club status.
Please forward any questions or anything I missed
something to the list.
Thank you,
Brian Hludzinski
