FW: Collegiate Cycling Board of Trustees Election!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #189 of 998 |
FYI- all licensed riders will be receiving ballots. You may be unaware that
Nathan Drake, Mark Abrahamson and Randy Warren have done a tremendous amount to
ensure that USA Cycling did not forget about the NCCA and collegiate cycling.
Due mainly to their efforts you can now vote for them and others to serve on the
collegiate cycling board. Please forward this to your teams as they may be
unaware of all these people have done. While your vote is your choice, I hope
you consider all these people have done to move forward our part of the sport.
thanks

Subject: Collegiate Cycling Board of Trustees Election!

Greetings Conference Directors!

I am writing you for two reasons. First, ballots for
the elections for the collegiate cycling board of
trustees are scheduled to be mailed today to our
members. Please encourage members of your conference
to vote before these historic elections close on
September 15!

Second, I would like to ask for your support. To the
extent you think that Mark Abramson, Randy Warren and
I have moved collegiate cycling in a positive
direction in the last two years, I would appreciate it
if you would email your conference email lists
encouraging your members to vote for us! We have
accomplished a great deal in the last two years,
including:

- Building bridges to USA Cycling and its staff, in
particular Gerard Bisceglia, CEO of USA Cycling.
- Bringing new, motivated conference directors on
board.
- Increasing USA Cycling dollars and staff time
allocated to collegiate cyling.
- Improving nationals, including arranging low-cost
conference director attendance and meeting.
- Gaining associational status for collegiate cycling.
- Rolling out in 2005 a collegiate-only, low cost
annual license.
- Recruiting collegiate cycling summer interns.
- And probably much more!

In short, I think I and these other volunteers have a
solid track record of achieving results and I know
that each of us would be honored to continue to serve
collegiate cycling. We have developed an excellent
rapport with USA Cycling on which we want to build.
Please support us by encouraging your membership to
cast their votes for us.

Many thanks,

Nathan Drake
Collegiate Cycling Trustee
