Hi all,

As you know, the club's own Brick City 5k Run/Walk is rapidly
approaching. Next Sunday, October 8th, the event will take place
behind Gracie's. Registration will run from 8:30 to 9:45 and then the
race will start at 10:00.

Amenities will include a free T-shirt (and they are superb looking I
might add- I saw one of them today!), as well as free
bagels/fruit/etc. THIS RACE IS FREE for all of you- so I definitely
encourage you to come to the event. Not a bad deal at all!

That said, we do need a couple of volunteers (4 to be exact) to help
at the registration tables. This would require you to be there about
8:05am, but you'd be done at 9:45 when registration closes. So, really
you could volunteer and then still run the race. Basically you'll be
checking to make sure people fill out their forms completely, and
there may be a few cash transactions if the general public is
registering (they have to pay $15). There would be a general meeting
with all the registration volunteers at 8:10 to discuss the process.

know. I need to submit the volunteer names early next week. We would
really appreciate anyone's help- like I said you can volunteer and
still participate in the race.

This should be a very exciting event for the running community and
