I was once a participant in the gunsmith Forum (wherever THEY are now? ) and the
moderator there (George Stringer) did the work for me
with buying the VZ 24 included it cost me $225.00
(I couldn't afford a CZ 524 at twice that price)
I don't think he is among the living now

No Cosmo, Jon
The gun ( a 1935 Czech VZ 24)was rebuilt to shoot 7.62 x 39 and was
Duracoated.
The sight pin drifted right out. The strong sight spring made removal and
installation a bugger

Ummm... I removed the original military sight on my Yugo as part
of cleaning
the cosmoline out of the rifle. Likely, that's why you had trouble. cosmo in
the pin channel.
Surplusrifle. com has some nice tips on using c-clamps to clamp against the
spring pressure and pop the pin.
I'm considering a mojosight myself, primarily because I have trouble
flattening down low enough to see properly trhought the rear "v" at anything
less than the 250m notch. However, i can pop steel plates all day at 400m...

I got these sights for my tired eyes that can no longer SEE the tiny Vee on
my Yugo Mauser short rifle
MOJO sights adjustable elevation and exchangeable peeps
http://www.mojosigh ts.com/MicroClic k.html
it took use of Burglar tools ! A pry bar and a MALLET ! What a pain in
the arse! It took two guys a couple hours to de-mount the military
sight and re-mount the mojo. The sight spring leaf was unbelievably
strong
pitchers at these urls
third one shows where the burglar tools were applied with some force!
