RE: [Practical_Carbine] Re: M1 carbine

Howdy.
the bolt hold open it right at the front of the bolt.
its a little pin.
when ya open the bolt, just push down on the pin, and the bolt should stay open.
its been my experance that most people dont properly clean their firearms, you
more than likely will have to disassambly the bolt to make sure its clean.
it might have a lot of years of crud in it?
my little M1 Carbine is a sweet shooter..
Jim

Sorry for my rant. LOL.It has a little switch on the right side by the rear
sight that iswhat I believe is the bolt hold open switch. the bolt looks as if
itneeds to be cleaned which would explain the failure to fire on the 2of the 5
rounds I fired through it this morning. I payed $300 for it,which I didnt think
was too bad. I guess that I should have done myhomework before I started making
payments on it, But I think what Ineed to do is to try to figure out how to get
the slide and boltassembly out and clean the heck out of it. The rifling looks
good andstrong after further inspection. Any tips on cleaning the bolt andmaking
it run better? Sorry for my long post! Thanks,Craig --- In
