New (Kahr/Auto Ordnance) or USGI? Be advised that while the USGI carbines have
a lot to recommend them there are very serious potential issues. Many are
re-imports that are basically shot-out. The carbine is a fantastic weapon but
it is not necessarily a high-mileage weapon.

For starters, there is a really good thread running at TheHighRoad.org in the
rifle forum now that details the potential "issues" (that's the word in the
title of the thread). Things like extractor failure are on the list, though
that's a cheap replacement.
