I am a BATF Licensed curio & relics collector and with proper procedures i could
get a genuine WW II M-1 from CMP Anniston Ga for about $625 with all it
attendant defects from wartime use and all it's mythology
I chose instead to get for the same price an Auto ordinance M-1 NEW made to M-1
specs , with an un-damaged walnut stock, and NONE of the wartime induced flaws
and none of the mythology .
But I have an M-1 that functions flawlessly and will last a lifetime and be a
part of my estate for my sons

I am buying an M1 carbine today. Any tips on this weapon would be
greatly received.
Thanks,
