J, you are absolutely right. My gun is a Century MISR that was sold
with US made parts and a regular buttstock and pistolgrip. The muzzle
mics out at .456". There is no hope of threading the barrel as it
stands today. I would consider tacking on an adapter if I knew where
to get one. I suppose I could sleeve it and thread it myself, but
geez, that seems like a lot of work for what in the end will be - a
Maadi MISR after all. I can onlt assume that the breaks you have seen
fly off where installed without checking whether the bullet would
strike the break on firing. At least I'm not that careless. Thanks for
