I recently picked up a Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM. I've played with an
AimPoint on it, and the iron night sights are cool, too.

I've looked for a 1-4X scout/handgun scope to no avail. Has anyone seen
such a beast? I thought they were made at one time. I wanted the 1 power
for two eyes open shooting at close range, with the ability to dial up some
magnification for longer range.

Also, what scout scope / rings do you guys like? I may go to 2-8X, 1.5-6X,
2-7X, or something else in a hand gun scope / scout scope. Primarily wanted
for hunting, but would like to go QD on the scope to go quickly to irons if
the need arises.
