AK rifles depending on caliber can use detachable magazines with capacities from 5rds to 55rds and also 75rd and 100rd drums. The Romanian SAR series of AK rifles come in your choice of 7.62x39mm,5.45x39mm,or 5.56x45mm/223 Remington. They have a scope mount rail riveted to the side of the receiver that uses a detachable scope mount. The detachable scope mounts doesn't shift point of impact when removed and replaced when you remove it to clean your rifle. They also have a pistol grip and even though the stock is short it works really well when shooting with winter clothes on.
My favorite AK caliber is the 5.45x39mm. It has a very low recoil impulse(kick) and very little muzzle rise(the sights don't move off the target very much during recoil).
