I think the muzzle brake completes the looks of the
carbine. It also allows mounting of a flashlight with
the adapter. The firing pin was upgraded as the
earlier one tended to bend with hard primers. The new
firing pin/spring assembly has a plastic piece that
acts as a recoil buffer. My carbine likes any ammo I
put in it. Just be sure to load it with good(read
hot) ammo for non-practice. Tom
