Shawn,
- I'd say the best way to fall is to the side. If your going to fall let your
knees take you down to the ground a ways then fall over to your side and catch
yourself with your arms.
Don't expect to be running full speed and doing flips your first week on them.
When I first got my Powerisers in the mail I was disappointed I couldn't just
run on them but there is a learning curve, plus the springs need to get broken
in. Don't feel like you wasted your money on them, it takes time to get the
hanng of them.
A big thing when learning to use Powerisers is to remember to always pick up
that back foot when running and don't drag it behind. Otherwise it will catch
the pavement causing you to fly forward on your face.
Regarding the Knee Pad Question, Personally I use thick top of the line
Skateboard/BMX knee pads made my Rector. For me without thick knee pads the
Powerisers are basically useless because they are soo loose around your knees.
Some people like thin knee pads though and say those work, I guess its personal
preference. I usually shove my knee pads between the bar and my legs, some
people wear them above the bar.
I've attached a picture of me when I first learned my back flips. Its a high
resolution, may take a while to load if anyone wants it. This is an older pic,
I've since then been able to do them easily anywhere, and also learned front
flips.
Good luck
Jon
