Greetings fellow Power Bombers!
The countdown to WrestleMania has begun as WWE shuts the books on its
No Way Out Pay-Per-View. On this Tuesday's show we will give a full
review of the PPV and what it sets up for WrestleMania 19.
The solid return of Stone Cold Steve Austin put the focus onto this
week's Raw from Toronto. Even though the Texas Rattlesnake did not
make an appearance his presence was still felt as it pulled The Rock
onto Raw. If that wasn't enough, Eric Bischoff booked a 20-man Battle
Royal to decide the #1 Contender to Triple H's title. The winner of
that match was surprisingly NOT The Rock, we'll discuss the winner
and whether he'll be able to hold onto his spot against Triple H at
WrestleMania.
This past weekend I spent a lot of time on the road and MANY hours
watching some of the best wrestling the Tri-State area has to offer.
First up was the East Coast Wrestling Association show in Wilmington,
DE which included men in drag, a loser leaves ECWA match, an
intergender arm wrestling match and another solid performance by
Christopher Daniels and Low Ki. Sunday found me in Fairfield, CT for
the second Pro Wrestling Alliance show featuring Matt Stryker,
Xavier, Slyk Wagner Brown (of course) and my first time seeing
Reckless Youth wrestle live. This Tuesday's show will have reports
from both of these events, pictures from both show will be up on the
Powerbomb2000.com website by Friday.
Finally I will preview my next "Calling the Shots" column as I
explain why pro wrestling is REALLY a sport.
Power Bomb airs LIVE every Tuesday AND Friday at 7PM Eastern, 4PM
Pacific. Both the live show and the archive (available all week) can
be found at the official Power Bomb website-
