Now that the sun is out again and it is starting to warm up, how about coming
out to hit a ball around at the Air Force Academy cadet sports fields? You know
you want to! We'll be out there tomorrow, Tuesday, at 4:30pm to teach some
basics and play a ground hurling match. Bring your running shoes and we'll see
you there! We play on the field just to the left of the main road as you're
passing the fields. It is on the west side of the field complex, closest to the
mountains. No military ID required, just show your license to the gate guard.

Hi folks! The new hurling/gaelic football season is underway for the Denver
Gaels. That means the Springs-based players are getting back into practice
mode! We'd love for you to come out and join us again!

We're getting together on Tuesdays at 4:30pm at the Air Force Academy cadet
athletic fields beginning today! If you want to come out, you don't need a
military ID or anything. Just show the gate guard your driver's license. Go
through the NORTH GATE and follow the road around until you see the fields. We
will be at the field closest to that main road. Call me if you get lost
719-229-9249.

We have lots of extra equipment so just bring your soccer cleats or running
shoes!

We have an exciting season planned, including a lot of travel opportunities! If
you want to know more, please contact me. Training in Denver already started.
We have another beginner's clinic coming up! If you want to head up to Denver
to give it a go, many of the Springs-based players are willing to carpool!
Reply to this email if you are interested.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

John Elliott here, President/Chairman of the Gaels (which means that everyone wants me to buy the first round anytime we're all out at the pubs!)...just wanted to say a quick "hello!" and let you all know what our games schedule for the 14th Annual Colorado Irish Festival looks like this year.  It's going to be a REALLY exciting time for all of us, as we host four (and potentially five) out of town clubs at this year's festival.  Prepare to work/play hard...and then, after the matches, "play" hard some more right on into the night at Scruffy Murphy's (2040 Larimer Street, Denver) with food, live music, and all of our guests from out of town.

It looks like we will fianlly have a 'fair-weather' Wednesday Evening.
Tim has given us the all clear, from his weather forecasting crystal
ball. We plan on getting over to Bear Creek Park Tomorrow Evening @ 6pm.

Please come out and join us. We will hope to have enough people (With
helmets) for a scrimmage. Also, keep in mind that you can bring along
any style of helmet (If you dont have a Hurling/Hockey One yet). Tim &
I, will also try to bring extra's.

Let me know if there are any questions. Niall/Bingo

With the forecasted, and very likely bad weather Tomorrow (Wednesday),
our resident Doctor/Weather Man, Tim! has again recommended that we
push Tomorrow's session to Saturday.
Tim and myself will be in Chicago for a pre-season Hurling tournament
with the Denver group, so Kelly & Baird will lead the charge. There may
also be a couple of the Denver folks down to help out.
So, 2pm Saturday @ Bear Creek Park, for those interested.

With the pending forecasted Weather for this Afternoon/Evening, Tim (Not me......) has cancelled this Evenings session @ Bear Creek. Something about cold hands!!
To off set this though, Tim has offered to buy a round of drinks for everyone, 'if' the weather does end up being ok this Evening.

Stay tuned for notice of the re-arranged session. Niall

We will meet this Wed evening 09 APR 6 pm at Bear Creek Park. Bring a
helmet if you've got one, and some friends (if you've got them too),
and we'll have a good time
We're planning on continuing with Saturdays also. So, hurlers &
footballers, come on out!

Folks,

We have decided to ditch this Wednesday Evening, and instead meet next Saturday at Bear Creek Park. We will shoot for 2pm, unless you hear different.

We had some new people show up last Saturday, as well as some repeat customers. Thank you to all who have came out so far. We encourage you to keep coming out, as well as encourage family, friends and whoever else might be interested. Remember, these sports are open to everyone, regardless of age, sex, size or skill level.

I would also ask that if you are unsure about anything or have any questions/concerns. please let us know.

Folks,

Just to re-cap!

We will be in Quinns this Evening to watch a Hurling game or Two. For
all you new folk, this will give you a better understanding of the game.

We plan on being there from roughly 6 - 9. This is open to all
interested parties, whether you are new or old. You are also welcome to
bring friends or family, who may also be potentially interested in
learning about this sport.

If you cant make it this Evening, remember that we will be out at Bear
Creek Park next Saturday from 2 - 4. We had 10 new people show up last
Saturday, even though it was snowing!

See you later.
Niall

All you need is a willingness to learn and have fun!!!  Most of our players are beginners.  We’d love to have you!

Join the yahoo group and you’ll get all the emails about practices and social events.  I believe we’re having one next week and you could meet some of the team.

Kelly

Hello all,

I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Erin, I'm fairly new to
the area and stumbled across the Yahoo group and this looks like an
interesting sport. I've never played before but saw that you were
recruiting. What would a new person need to do to get started? Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Erin
