Hey :)
There's one on FSU:

But if you scroll down, somebody says that at the press conference at Worlds, Maria and Alexei stated that the bronze medal is an encouragement for them to stay another year.

Hi!
There are some threads popping up on the skating forums that say that Petrova and Tikhonov are turning pro!
I really hope not!
There is practically no outlet for their talents as pros, there being in the US only one major pro competition--the former former World Pros.
And there is some activity for pros in Europe, such as the German Stars On Ice tour in the spring and the French Etoiles sur la Glace tour starting this month, but very little else..........
And, of course, our team is based in Saint Petersburg.
Petrova and Tikhonov can still achieve much more as eligibles, and I hope that these statements about their turning pro are not true.
If this is true, what are their plans; does anyone know?
And do you think that they are really going to turn pro now?
Sincerely,
Marti :-)
