This group would not be the great group that it is without your presence, or without that of Monika and other devoted fans of Petrova and Tikhonov.
I'm trying to say that you add immesurably to the group!
We need you.
"To err is human," as Shakespeare said.
We don't have to be perfect. We understand each other, and are a group of friends. :-)
Petrova and Tikhonov are my favorite pair, and your enthusiasm for them is certainly contageous, Arthur.
I wish them the best of luck for tomorrow and for the rest of the season!
It's wonderful that they are going to the Grand Prix Final, and I'm sure, also to Europeans, and Worlds.
I hope they will pull out of their semi-slump and medal, hopefully win.
By the way, I wonder what Volchkova's withdrawal due to a flu-like illness will do for her chances to go to Worlds.
With Volchkova out, will the Russian Skating Federation grant her a bye (She did win Cup of Russia)? My guess is yes.
It's really a shame that here in the US, we don't receive coverage of the important Russian Nationals.
If only ESPN or ABC would cover it as a special presentation..........
Yours sincerely,
Marti :-)
Hi, Marti,
Thank you very much for validizing me. I wasn`t looking for or expecting a plug, but do appreciate it.
Barring injury or illness Volchkova should be at World`s. There is an interesting situation here, and it has to do with MK`s status, which I don`t believe has been ruled on yet by the ISU. If they rule that Michelle is seeded, Volchkova will be unseeded. If they rule that Michelle is unseeded, then VV will become seeded. Of course VV doesn`t have to be seeded to go to World`s, but would be the Russian Federation`s logical choice, barring a catastophic performance meltdown at GPF or Euros. Maybe someone in the group who`s more on top of things than I am can clarify the MK/VV
situation.
Russian nationals on US TV will probably never happen, unless in the distant future, by satellite, and in Russian.
I`ll be e-mailing you privately in a couple of days re American ice dance.
BFN,
Arthur
