I think you're mistaken, as far as I can make out with my very weak knowledge of the Russian alphabet it says here:

27 December, Friday

18:15 pairs, short program

The starting order isn't up yet.

So, the pairs SP is tomorrow. To try to keep up with Russian Nats without attempting to read Russian ;-), you can go to FSU to the Kiss and Cry forum.

If I'm making this out correct ;-) (probably there's a thread on FSU somewhere about the schedule and I'm just making my life difficult ;-)) the pairs free program takes place on Saturday (28th) at 17:30 Russian time.

As long as Pe/Ti don't have a disaster they should win with O/S. But O/S are a team with very strong basic skills, so if they have more clean elements than Maria and Alexei, I don't think they'll actually need any corrupt judges...

Hope I've helped :-)

Hi, Monika,
Thanks much for giving me the straight dope and particularly for reminding me about FSU`s K+C page. I seldom go in there  and somehow it never occurred to me that that was the best place to find Russian nationals info. It might also help some  other people in this group who, like me, forgot, or possibly never knew. My mistake regarding thinking the short would be on Thursday was that I assumed that Russian Nationals would go in the normal order, pairs, men, dance, ladies. I had been at the Nationals official site, but as soon as I saw the Cyrillic, I got out. As it turns out I only would have had to translate 2 words, pairs and Friday. I could have possibly managed that (with my wife`s help).
I noticed at FSU`s K+C page that Kulikova/Markov will be competing. That sort of surprised me because that team was reportedly defunct. I think I`ll go and find the tape of their OD and FD for this season and watch it right now. Speaking of Markov, his father must be very proud of his son`s distinguished naval career and his high rank. Oh, wait. That was just a costume. His son`s an ice dancer. Never mind.

Cheers,
Arthur

Kulikova/Markov seem to have decided to use their opportunity and go to Euros at least and split afterwards. Something silly like that. I don't think I quite...
