Today"....The Email that is PROUD to be an AMERICAN!!!........

HOMEPLATE ......Senator Obama has had so much trouble over a flag pin....He
was wearing one earlier in the year but removed it several months ago..saying
"He didnt need to wear a pin to be Patriotic"...Now that;s true..But in the
process he has insulted the millions of Americans that do display the
Red...White and Blue.....About 13 months ago my very good friend Rick Gunter -
Publisher - Editor of the Crewe-Burkeville Journal wrote a story on the last
days before my family turned over our family business to the new owner....You
see we held events at Clay's The Graham Retirement Center for just about every
patriotic holiday...Memorial Day..Veterans Day....July 4th...Labor Day..etc..We
brought vets in from all over and always had a vet speaker.....We kept our
facilty decorated in Red..White and Blue year round...I even challenged other
area businesss folks to do similiar events..While aome didnt...If You Start
It..Hopefully they will come.....Anyway back to Rick..This was
our last official Clay's event.....Rick wrote "......The 17 year former pro
baseball executive has painted Nottoway Red..White and Blue since arriving in
2002..." What a compliment!....But Obama insulted millions of us....FIRST ...It
just makes sense that we show support while we fight 2 wars......Also it makes
you feel good about being born in the USA...I often Thank God that I was not
born in France.....Dalfur.....Germany....Iran....The former USSR - France was
another France joke).....Since I didnt serve in the military I have always been
so in awe of them..I was a baseball executive and know we entertained thousands
of people...But folks lets face it WE WERE NOT CURING CANCER.....Our soilders
risk their lives evertyday...EVERYDAY,,Support the wars or not you must support
our troops....In my years in baseball a military man or woman NEVER paid to
watch one of my baseball games...At Clay's soilders were welcome to eat with us
anytime they wanted..Good Home
Cooking.....Barrack I guess all of us are "Bitter..Clinging to our Guns and
religion".....But you have insulted many of us..All you had to say was I love
this country..I am a Patriot..I think each American should decide for
themselves......But you are elite...progressive...;Liberal..Far left caracter
could not..Your wife says we are a "Mean Country" in 2008....So I will keep the
candle in the window for our soilders..I will keep the red white and blue up...I
will be part of "Adopt a Platoon".....'"Wounded Warriors"....."Adopt a
Soilder"..Etc..Actually evertone of you all here in the Field are part of one of
the Adopt a Platoon,,...Senator,,,,You should be ashamed sir .....Can you just
repeat what the POPE did several times last week 'GOD BLESS AMERICA"...."GOD
BLESS AMERICA"?...Its an easy thing..But I bet you will never do it..and that is
very sad.........PULL THE TARP..GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA......

THINGS THAT BOTHER ME.....The last few week I have had some trouble sleeping
the entire night through...After 4 months AT TARA - Colony..I am back as a CEO
ts iN EXILE AT TARA - Riverridge.....So at 2 in the morning I see some
interesting stuff..INFOMERCIALS.....TV Preachers....etc..I love FOX ..But at
that time it is the 5th time since 8pm that Bill OReiley....So I get to DR
Phil...Dr Phil is not a MD...He has a PHD...He also was a jury consultant before
Oprah discovered him.....I know he is in love with himself....I know he creates
half the issues that he brings up...For ratings..I know that he is 57 and
sometimes a bully....He's probably a good guy..But the show sometimes riivals
Jerry Springer...So feeling bad lately and not sleeping..I will settle for the
Geroge Foreman blender....

TODAY'S IRONY...Today is small business week.....John Kerry was praiswing this
week on the Senate floor...Maybe he should have found this fondness for small
business in 2004...But he is ELITE..."Progressive"...Liberal.....WOW..Sounds
like Sen O......

THIS DAY in 1981...IBM introduced the first Personal Computer...And Ronald
Reagan was changing the WORLD....

Today we start the President Reagan Award of the day for positive people and
events...Today we salute the folks at Adopt a platoon - see below -

Today's HMMMMM IDEA OR PERSON......Senator JOHN MCCAIN...Someone I support for
President...The North Carolina GOP is working on down ticket races..They
produced the Wright -Gate Obama problem.....They pointed out that both dems for
Governor had endorsed the "O" man ....Sen McCain has denounced the ads...They
have demanded they not run the ads..The Nat GOP has told them to pull it....Sen
McCain I like you...You are an American hero...But the NC GOP has every right to
run these ads..We conservatives really like States Rights..and frankly YOU MAY
WELL WIN THE PRESIDENCY...But in the South your coattails WILL NOT keep us from
having an awful year in the House and Senate......For this you are our first
HMMMMM winner....

Dear AdoptPlatoon Supporters,

This will be a short, but an URGENT e-mail update from AdoptaPlatoon. Our
Troops need us … We have Troops newly deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan waiting
to be supported with incoming mail from “home”. If you have the ability to
pen-pal or adopt an individual Soldier or send support to a platoon of newly
deployed Troops, please let us know ASAP. We have received thousands of new
support requests from our Troops asking for individual, as well as platoon
support and it’s so sad knowing they wait for the American people to embrace
them.

Now that the holidays are over, support has dropped considerably, but our
Troops continue to be deployed and they continue to serve on our behalf. PLEASE
consider supporting another Soldier or two. Mail is so important to these men
and women who serve so proudly and it truly has a positive effect on their
morale when they know they have not been forgotten! If you can pen-pal with a
soldier and send letters, cards and news from home, please let us know ASAP!
Also, as an FYI, when you adopt a soldier and send a MONTHLY CARE PACKAGE,
please know that what you send does not have to be expensive….Gum, candy,
toiletries, a pair of socks, plus a letter or card means more to a soldier than
words could ever describe. Again, just knowing they stand for “Mail Call” and
have their named called for mail is valuable to them.

DON'T BUG ME Campaign!

This is our annual summer campaign where you can send all kinds of things that
help keep those flies, bugs and spiders off our Troops. Remember, summer in the
Middle East gets up to 130 degrees, which brings out those pesky “beasts,” and
when they bite – THEY BITE!!!


If you would like to support this campaign, or a specific campaign, to put a
smile on our Troops faces and send a "touch of home" contact Campaign Director,
Arline Grant, at aapcampaign@.... Arline will assign a platoon to you who
will eagerly await your support.

REMEMBER: For Current Supporters, please put "Current Supporter" in the subject
line of your email, ALONG with your full address, and let Arline know which
campaign you would like to support and how many Service Members you can send
items to and Arline will then link you accordingly to meet your request.
