DOES NOT DEPEND ON WHAT WE HAVE.....BUT WHAT WE ARE..... ~ WELCOME To the
Saturday Feb 17, 2007 "Field of Dreams Today"..The Email that is glad this week
is over....This was a tough week...On Monday I tesified as a character witness
at a trial for a friend - YES CHARACTER witness..No comments please - Don't
think I really helped very much.....But I tried..Also I didn't know Virginia no
longer uses the Bible for swearing in....You still swear to God..They still say
"God Save the Commonwealth and this Court"..but no Bible..That really bothers
me.....Also as you know we are in the process of selling our 45 year old family
business...This has already been a difficult time after all these years..But it
got worse...From an original close date of Dec 15...we went to Jan 30...Feb
28..And now they want another month..So they asked for yet another inventory of
what comes with this 75 bed retirement
home....It was a stalling tactic but they should be careful what they ask
for.....They not only got every bed....piece of furniture....linens...pots and
pans and silverware..They got the exact number of Christmas ornaments.....amount
of salt in each salt shaker..number of potatoes..onions and other foods...brillo
pads....Comet..Clorox - Both name brand and generic - ..lawn decorations...rolls
of toilet paper...magazines....pens..pencils..paper clips..And much much
more......Don't screw with me on this stuff..If yu need more time..Just say I
need more time.......Once when my first boss at Airborne Express and I had a
disagreement I actually went and got an earring....She hated men with earrings -
Actually so did I but I love to prove points when nothing else works....
Lucklily it was far from Christmas and I had it out and my ear had regrown
before my Dad ever knew, when I went home...Same boss ..I told her everyday how
nice her hair looked......One day I once again told
her and added "Of course Mae I would have told you that if it looked
wretched".....She loved that story and still tells it....Mae and I are good
friends now I am glad to say...And than there was our old buddy "Red" my
Airborne Intl boss that words can't describe.....But that for another day.... ~
The movie "Love Story" was on HBO this morning...When it came oiut in 1972 -
Half of you were not born I know - but my grandmither and mother carried me
along to see it - I was 12..Well we were 5 minutes late...If you miss the first
5 minutes you don't know that Ryan O'Neal's wife dies...Very Very sad.... ~ Good
to see Whitney Houston has completed rehab and is making a comeback....The Bobby
Brown thing almost killed her...Liked that "Greatest Live of All" video from the
late 80's when MTV and VH1 played - SURPRISE Music Videos ~ DOES ANYONE Really
believe that Howard K Stearn is the real father of Anna Smith's baby...Or even a
real lawyer...... ~ Why has NBC become the most
extreme left wing newtwork on TV?? It may draw the libs but only 23 percent of
citizens consider themselves liberal.....Almost 40 Conservative....FOX will
always beat you....And FOX seems to be going back more to it's Center
Conservative ways - Outstanding!! ~ What's UP with NASCAR...All these fines for
stuff that has made NASCAR the fasting growing sport in the world?? The PR will
be good for ratings.... ~ Well the democrat House has told our troops that "why
bother" with the surge....Luckily in the Senate it will not get voted on this
day.....We - The GOP - do know how to be a effective minority party.....I would
prefer the majority but with the Senate 50-49 (Joihnson out) the liberals should
get little done - NOTE To My Senior Senator Warner - STOP with the
