STEPHANIE MATTHEWS today in Seattle....As always great chatting
Stepphie!!!....Also I heard from my good buddie Anthony Hallmark Esquire -
Attorney and fellow Airborne alumnus..... ~ The Way We Were...1978
Winston-Salem, North Carolina...The Peninsula Pilots were in town playing the
Winston- Salem Red Sox.....We - The defending Carolina League Champs - were
staying at a Best Western..I was sitting at the pool with Field manager JIM
SYNDER having a nice chat...And all of a sudden a very large country man came up
to us screaming at us "Where is my daughter?".....Well she was a "groupie" and
had met one of our players.....I got the signal from Jim to go resolve the
problem while I ran from room
to room to fix the situation....Sure enough one of our players - a future major
leaguer - was "entertaining" the young lady....We quickly got her out of the
back of the hotel and was never heard from again...Well until the next trip we
made there....From "Big League Dreams"...... ~ MOVIE REVIEW...."Scary Movie 3"
Bad....Stupid.....Worthless...0 baseballs out of 4...Don't waste your money
folks.... ~ OK I am still missing some addresses for some of you for Christmas
cards....So please email me at John@... ...I don't want to miss
anyone......Give me your birthday also so I can print it here on your big
day...Thanks!!....~ Speaking of Christmas cards I almost sent "Red" a card -
YIKES...But I could not think of one nice thing to say to him.....I guess I
could have resorted to his ways and lied.....But I just went to the next
address..... ~ ONLY 22 shoping Days Left to Christmas,,,, ~ PULL THE
TARPS.....People in Glass Houses...Have High heat bills.....That's the Tuesday
