WELCOME to the "2nd Independence Day" for the U.S.A...This is YORKTOWN DAY in
Virginia and really should be a National Holiday....This day in 1781 Cornwallis
surrenders to the upstart Americans at Yorktown,Virginia...Just several miles
where his same Englishmen founded the first permanent English colony in America
1607....It was like the Toledo Mud Hens beating the NY Yankees...No let's make
it the Auburn Doubledays (Class "A")....This is the one time that we can
actually salute FRANCE...Without their help we may well be a member of the
United Kingdom Commonwealth - And have that picture of the Queen on all of our
money....A picture where she never EVER looked that good.....So few will make
note of this today....Earth Day and CNN drops every other story...But here's to
General Washington...His brave troops...The Founding Fathers ...And yes
once - AND JUST ONCE - to the French....... ~ When something bad happens they
always talk about "letting go" and moving on...That's great..But normally they
wait longer than the 39 seconds "Rose" gave poor soon to be deep water fish food

the famous "BlackSox" scandal where 7 'Sox were charged with throwing

Holiday...In MAURITANIA it's Independence Day (1960)...Where the
Hell is Mauritania???....I am sure part of the United Nations which is neither
UNITED or many are barely Nations..United only in their hatred of the USA..... ~
"Runaway Jury"...I saw it yesterday ...Good movie....But takes cheap shots at
the second amendment..... ~ WE REMEMBER......On this day in 1970 PETER WILSON of
Pulaski,New York was reported Missing in Action...We pray for him and his
family......VIRGINIA has a Pulaski as well..Named after the same war general we
say PULASK-EE here and in New York they say PULASK-eye...HMMMM....... ~ Pull the
