BALTIMORE ORIOLES – The past two seasons, Nick Markakis has struggled to the tune of a .221 April average. Here’s hoping you didn’t plan on waiting for his usual slow start and taking advantage of a panicking owner as he is off to a strong start. Normally, when a hitter’s walks are up, that is a good thing, but it appears that teams are not going to let Markakis beat them. George Sherrill has 5 saves in 5 chances, but tougher days are ahead. In 4.2 IP, he has yet to allow a hit, has walked 2 and struck out 3. The hits will soon fall and his historical trouble versus righties will surface.
