Myers agrees to three-year, $25.75 million extension Myers finished fifth in the NL in strikeouts (189), compiling a league-leading 107 in the second half of the season. The Phillies locked up one of the key members of their rotation on Thursday, agreeing to a three-year contract extension with right-hander Brett Myers. The deal, which avoids two arbitration years and one year of potential free agency, is pending a physical. Myers went 12-7 with a 3.91 ERA in 31 starts in 2006, leading Philadelphia's pitching staff in wins, ERA, starts, innings (198), strikeouts (189), winning percentage (.632) and opponents' batting average (.257).
