I can access personal e-mails at work, but cannot access Facebook at work, and do not have internet access at home.
For me, personally, it would be a great loss of connection w/the group and updates, as I am only able to get to the library to check my Facebook roughly twice a month.

I’m on Facebook, and it’s not that hard to set up a group, but I definitely do not want our email communication to be replaced by Facebook communication. I think email is the best form of communicating with the group.
Facebook is really exciting when you first sign up, as Dave indicates, but it loses its charm after a while. It would be a good way to spread the excitement and recruit more folks, so if there is someone who would like to administer a POP group on Facebook, I’m all for it. (I’m not interested in being that person.)
Cheers

Dave, et al.,
You asked for my opinion wrt POP joining Facebook as a Group. Honestly I have no opinion as I do not use Facebook and have no experience with it. Maybe others, like Paula did, could chime in with their experience and whether they see a good fit for our club. If enough paid members wish us to pursue this, I’d be happy to look into it, but I think this is a decision the membership together with the Board should make.

Hi POP,
Having just discovered the power of Facebook. I think its time POP joins as a Group. The email system is antiquited compared to Facebook. It would be great for members to easily interact and share photos and chat. If you have not done so check it out for yourself. In just 4 days I have connected with friends from 30 years ago! Watched a video of POP members rip powder while cat skiing, shared my video of MT Borah, chatted live with old friends all for free. Facebook would be a good fit for us and this email is my effort for us to get it started. Jim Seyfert what do think?
Thanks, Dave Reseska
