* SUBARU/IMBA TRAIL CARE CREW SCHEDULE FOR 2006 NOW ONLINE
The Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew Schedule for 2006 is available online. Now
beginning its tenth year, the program is more popular than ever. Most Trail
Care Crew visits last four days, allowing us to assess local trails,
strengthen partnerships with local clubs and land managers, host an evening
event at a bike shop or other location, conduct a two-day trailbuilding
School, and squeeze in a ride with the locals.

* CONTRIBUTE TO IMBA'S MOUNTAIN BIKE MANAGEMENT BOOK
IMBA seeks contributions to our forthcoming book focused on strategies and
techniques for managing mountain biking trails and facilities. Here's your
chance to share research papers, success stories and other resources with
mountain bikers around the world. We're looking for model trail management
plans, trail user surveys, partnership agreements, adopt-a-trail agreements,
trail standards, trail maintenance plans, and more. Contact project director
Pete Webber by sending a message to pete@...
* BIKE PATROLS CREATING GOOD PRESS FOR MOUNTAIN BIKERS
The National Mountain Bike Patrol program continues to receive accolades
from land managers and the press. Recently, the National Park Service
applauded the assistance of 100 volunteer mountain bike patrollers who help
