While there is still snow on the ground around here, the first ever
professional Tour of California sponsored by Amgen has just started in San
Francisco (prologue) and will be riding over roads in my old stomping
grounds over the next week. Here's a little bit about it, the web link and

About The Tour

The Amgen Tour of California will bring the drama and excitement of a
professional bicycle stage race to the California coast. The world's top
professional teams will compete over an eight-day, 700-mile race on a route
that includes the California redwoods, wine country and the Pacific Coast.
