Re: [POP] Idaho State XC Race Series

since I'm here, I could start looking at lodging options.   I would suggest McCall since all the restaurants and stores are there and it's only 11 miles to Donnelly.  There are hotels or we could consider a house.    I'll put together some info since I know this area really well.

It might not be too early to start planning a POP summer trip (like Rossland last year). We could make it coincide with the August 10 state championship race at Tamarack. I believe there is also an IMBA epic ride route in that area.

Hey everybody! I know all you racers are wondering where to go to get your starting line adreniline buzz/fix. I just found out about a state wide race series! It's called Knobby Tire Series. info at www.knobbytireseries.com

In a nutshell, here's a list of dates;

5/20  Coyote Classic at Avimor, near Boise
5/26  Pocatello Cross Country
6/3    Canfield Mountain Moose Chase, C d'A
6/23  Epic Soldier Mountain March, Sawtooths
7/1    Urban Assault in Old Boise (asphalt short track for mtn bikes)
7/20  Galena Grinder XC and State Finals Marathon
8/4    East Idaho Lost River Valley
8/10  Tamarck Resort State Championjship Finals

There is also a Downhill Series with 2 of the races at Silver Mountain. Get the info from the web page!

Too bad the bulk of the races are a bit of a drive......and I realize a lot of you are still cleaning the powder out of your ears from this week up at Schweitzer, but, robins have been seen in town. That can only mean bike season is just about here!

Chris
