The Parish-Hastings Presbyterian Church is the local drop off point for Oswego County for the Church World Service Kits. The hours for dropping off your CWS kits at the church ( 814 Rider Street ) April 27-30 will be from 10-10:30 a.m. and 4- 4:30 p.m or call 625-4575 to make arrangements.  The CWS Kits make a world of difference in the lives of refugees, displaced people, and victims of natural disasters.

Relay For Life in Parish (www.relayforlife.org/parishNY) is creeping up very quickly. May 1 is an important date.  Teams need to be registered online by May 1st to be guaranteed a t-shirt in their size. T-shirts will be ordered that first week of May!
Still looking for Bronze, Silver and Gold sponsors- May 1st will be the cut off date for these companies as well to be guaranteed their business name and logo on the backs of the shirts.   Contact Erin Shuff 415-8744 or

Spring is finally here and so begins motorcycle riding season.  May is designated as motorcycle awareness and safety month, with  the emphasis on safety.  We ride for pleasure, as a form of transportation and to support our communities through rides for fund raising.  Our request to all drivers is watch for motorcycles so that we all may enjoy the season.

The First Annual Spaghetti Supper to support the Parish Community Preschool will be held on Friday, May 1 from 4-8 p.m. at the Parish Fire Station.  The menu will include spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, coffee, and soda.  Enjoy the bake sale for dessert and take-home goodies.  There will also be a silent raffle for great prizes (need not be present to win). 

Adults $7.00; seniors $5.00; children twelve years and under $3.00; three years and under eat free.  The family meal deal:$20 for family (up to 2 adults and 3 kids)  Carryout also available.  All proceeds will benefit the Parish Community Preschool

The Right Step Dance Relay for Life team will host their annual Relay for Life Chicken BBQ on Sat. May 2 at the Parish Fire Station from noon until sold out.  All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society through the Parish Relay for Life on June 5-6.  Dinners will include ½ chicken, baked beans, salt potatoes, macaroni salad, and a roll.   There will be raffles, 50/50’s and a bake sale.  Pre-sale tickets are $8 and they will be $10 per dinner at the door.  AND I have some tickets so email Mary Lou at guindfam@... or call 625-4575.  I could use some sponsors as well.  “GRIN”

The Parish Fire Company will host a Mother’s Day “ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT PANCAKE BREAKFAST” on Sunday, May 10 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Parish Fire Station located at 16 Union Street.  You may enjoy pancakes, waffles, sausage gravy, biscuits, home fries, eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee and juice.  Adults $6; Seniors $5.50; Children under 12 $4.50 and Family $20.

The Town and Village of Parish will hold the annual “Spring Clean Up” on Saturday, May 16 from 7:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Parish Town Barn on Dill Pickle Alley.

The Faith Church of the Nazarene will host its 3rd annual Craft Show / Chicken BBQ / Bake Sale on Saturday, May 30 from 10 AM to 4 PM  Call Dale Corcoran at 964-2301 to reserve your 12 foot space ($10 deposit).  The event will be outside this year, so you may want to bring a canopy along with your tables and chairs.

The APW Marching Band has launched a uniform replacement drive.  You can help by donating funds In Honor of an individual, previous student, current student or staff member.  You can also donate In Memory of a loved one.  Consider giving in honor of your Graduating Class.  Alumni  are challenged to raise enough donations for one uniform ($300)  All names will be listed in the 2008-2009 concert programs as well as other events throughout the year.  Payable to:  APW Band Boosters  PO Box 11, Williamstown, NY  13493 or 639 County Route 22  PO Box 97 Parish, NY   13131  Attn: Janet Fiacco.
