April 4, 2009 Eleanor M. Hains, 68, of Parish, NY, died Saturday at SUNY Health Science Center, Syracuse, NY. She was a former resident of Brewerton. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Irma Moore. Eleanor was a graduate of P.V. Moore High School. She was a life member and former treasurer of Brewerton Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a medic with Brewerton Ambulance Corps and member and treasurer of Central Square Senior Citizens Club. She was formerly employed at Fran's Flowers of Brewerton and Wal-Mart. She owned and operated Ellie's Floral Creations of Parish, NY, and most recently was employed as a home health aide. Surviving: husband of 50 years, Chester; one son,
Chester Jr. (Lisa) Hains of Mexico; one daughter, Donna (Karl) Aupperle of Texas; two sisters, Alberta Moore and Myrna Rousche; grandchildren, Richard and Stephanie Bean and Brittany and Rachel Hains; one great-grandson, John David Bean; and a special godchild, Melanie Sims. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday from Parish United Methodist Church. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to any animal shelter or ambulance corps.
