Danielle Zender was excited to be part of the musical production of Seussical.  This was Danielle’s first time participating in a theatrical event at the APW High School. She was one of the bird ladies.  Her parents, Todd and Luz Marina, attended both nights.  Joyce and Richard Zender of Bridgeport, NY attended on Friday night.  Both Todd and Luz Marina agreed the cast did an amazing job.  They want to do a shout out to the APW staff and volunteers who made this production possible. Great job and thanks for all your hard work.  Also, a shout out to Bonnie Fredrick's who shared her pictures of the event with Luz Marina.  Gotta scrap book ya know!!!  Thanks again Bonnie. 

 Special Olympics Parish Training Club welcomes Erika Einhart as their newest athlete and her mom as their new volunteer.  They are happy to have them join their group.  They are currently training in basketball skills.

The annual  Women's Community Brunch will be held at the Parish Faith Church of the Nazarene on April 4th at 9:00AM .

Girl Scouts of the Mexico Service Unit announce their annual spring event at the BOCES Mall.  The Girl Scout “World Cultures” Carnival will be held on Sat. April 4 from noon to 3 PM.  The public is encouraged to attend this family fun event.   Games, crafts and food items range from 25 cents to one dollar.  And of course, those popular donation themed baskets will be available.

The Parish Easter Ecumenical Service will be held at the Parish Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, April 5 at 3 p.m.  The good will offering will benefit the Parish Ecumenical Food Pantry.  All are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item.  Come join your friends walk in the light. 

CWS Spring Kit Drive

Join the Parish-Hastings Presbyterian church drop off site for Oswego County and other churches and organizations in Oswego County in the Church World Service Spring Kit Drive.  All kits are needed but Hygiene Kits are in particular high demand.  A Hygiene Kit is simple to put together.

In the face of natural disasters, violence, or grinding poverty, Hygiene Kits can mean the difference between sickness and health for struggling families.

To assemble a Hygiene Kit you will need:

·       One hand towel measuring approximately 16" x 28" (no fingertip or bath towels)

·       One washcloth

·       One wide-tooth comb

·       One nail clipper (no metal files or emery boards)

·       One bar of soap (bath size in wrapper)

·       One toothbrush (in original packaging)

·       Six Band-Aids®

Seal all items in a one-gallon plastic bag with a zipper closure and include a
Processing/Shipping Cost of $2 per Kit.   You may drop off your kit at 814 Rider Street in Parish Monday – Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the month of April.   

Save the date of May 1!  There will be a spaghetti dinner held at the Parish Fire Station to benefit the Parish Community Preschool from 4 – 8 p.m.  Keep watch for more details.
