John and Ethel Spedding Hoadley enjoyed Christmas with family, their son Erwin and wife Frances came from Hendersonville, N.C.; their granddaughter Erin, husband Kevin, children Emma and Seth Thomas came from Jacksonville, FL.  Kevin is a doctor and they will soon be leaving for Denver, CO. Kevin’s uncle wants him to take over his practice in a large hospital, because he wants to retire. This is quite an honor to Kevin.  Erwin and John played golf and Fran and Ethel managed to get caught up with family activities. John and Ethel have five great grandchildren now. They had two of them here for a short visit and they were certainly energetic to say the least.  They really had a lively time.

The Frederick family invited the Logsdon Family to the Cracker Barrel for an after
church dinner on Jan.4. They all enjoyed a delicious meal and it was, a bitter sweet walk
down memory lane. The two families have been friends for fifteen years. The weather in
the Logsdon's  new town of Clayton, has been blue sky and not much snow, just cold.
Benny really likes his new school, and has received a warm welcome.  Leslie will be happy, to be back in warmer climate, at college.

Mary Lou Guindon received a phone call from Howard Breeze of Florida this week.  Howard was looking for information on the 50th reunion at the APW Alumni Banquet.  He looks forward to seeing his classmates from the class of 1959 on Sat. June 6.

Parish Girl Scout Troop 710 traveled to Victor on Sat. Jan. 10 to participate in an Interest Project Patch (IPP) Day with college students as the facilitators.  The program was put together by college student and Girl Scout gold award recipient, Ellie Fisher of the Seven Lakes Council.  Jaklyn Fisher, Rachel Mitchell, Kelsie Wilson, Nicole and Kayla Guindon each earned two IPP’s.  What a fun and learning experience for these girls.

The Parish-Hastings Presbyterian Church will be hosting a Parish Community Blood Drive in memory of the Sabine twins, Kayley and Rayel on Sat. Jan. 31 from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Mills and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium 2938 East Main Street, Parish.
