November 20, 2008 Edward H. Freebern, 84, of Parish, died Thursday at Oswego Hospital. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was an inspector for General Electric for 37 years. He was a lifetime member of the Harmony Riders. Survivors: wife of 56 years, the former June Sullivan; one daughter, Ellen M. Maichak of North Syracuse; three sons, Wayne (Madeline) Maichak of Parish, Frank (Cindy) Freebern of Fulton and Mark Freebern of Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Freebern of Collamer and Francis Free-bern of Central Square; two sisters, Elizabeth Boyke of Cicero and Joan Cooms of NC. He was predeceased by one brother, Carlton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from Harter Funeral Home, 2983 W. Main St., Parish, NY. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lowville Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Please sign the guestbook at syracuse.com/obits
