November 1, 2008 Gladys Joyce, 85, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at University Hospital. She was born in Parish and retired in 1987 from Community General Hospital after 17 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward H. Joyce in 1983, and her grandson, Brian Ariola, in 2001. Survivors: three sons, Thomas and Timothy Joyce of Florida and Martin Joyce of Syracuse; a daughter, Marcia Ariola of Mexico, NY; three grandchildren, Kelly Joyce, Kristen Joyce and Amanda Ariola; a stepdaughter, Sandra Roberts; and several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held in the spring. Burial: South Onondaga Cemetery, Syracuse.
